Should I buy a rolling backpack?
Rolling or wheeled back packs serve the same purpose as a traditional backpack. However, before purchasing rolling backpacks consider the weight of the backpack alone. Rolling backpacks can weigh up to 5 pounds or more. Some rolling or wheeled backpacks will not fit into school lockers. If the campus (or home) has stairs it will have to be carried up and down the stairs.
"I purchased a rolling backpack for my daughter in elementary school in an effort to take the load off of her back and immediately found that she couldn't lift it up the step to get onto the bus. She became frustrated and accidents became a bigger concern to me. She went back to her heavy but more manageable backpack".
